The first-phase tenancy reforms began on 1 May 2026. The official Renters’ Rights Act Information Sheet 2026 is a separate government document issued under the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.
What is still being introduced
The Government says the Private Rented Sector Database will be rolled out gradually by area from late 2026. Check the latest GOV.UK guidance for detailed registration requirements and dates before relying on a checklist or planning a submission.
